This initiative maximizes the impact of small donations by combining them with CGPS commitments into a pooled fund that supports opportunities for graduate students and postdocs to engage in research in a variety of ways.

March 15-16, 2024 
The 39th Plant Science Graduate Student Symposium (PSGSS) is an annual event hosted between USask, the University of Manitoba, and North Dakota State University bringing together graduate students to meet their peers, network, and present their research.

 

March 27-28, 2024 Saskatoon Regional Science Fair provides an opportunity for young scientists from Saskatoon and the surrounding region to delve into STEM projects, develop relationships with scientific mentors, present their research, and connect with like-minded peers.

The KIN Research Showcase is a multi-day event, featuring poster and oral presentations from graduate students. Students are welcome to submit an abstract related to their project, regardless of the stage of research. 

May 7-10, 2024 Western Canadian Undergraduate Chemistry Conference 2024 The Chemistry Students' Society (CS2) is the host of WCUCC 2024 and one of the largest first conference experiences for undergraduates. USask graduate students are judges and provide feedback for the presenters.

June 2-6, 2024 Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition is a USask and University of Manitoba collaboration drawing over 2,000 attendees from across Canada and features the research of many graduate students.

June 13-14, 2024 Proteomics Research in Interactions and Structure of Macromolecules (PRISM) provides a forum for up-and-coming researchers involved in the study of proteins and protein structure and function.

is Canada’s first national science communication workshop for graduate students
. This unique professional development program aims to help the next generation of leaders in STEM fields develop the skills needed to communicate their research and ideas to their peers, experts in other fields, policymakers, and the general public.

The USSU Undergraduate Symposium is an annual event highlighting the research, scholarly, and artistic works of undergraduate students at the University of Saskatchewan. Graduate students and postdoc scholars serve as judges.

Research Fests are organized by the Computer Science Graduate Council (CSGC) partnered with the Department of Computer Science to celebrate research done by graduate students. Our goal is to bring together graduate students, faculty members, researchers, and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss and present the research and innovations in different areas of Computer Science and Bioinformatics.

Each year, the GPDN hosts a virtual career symposium for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows aimed at professional development and career exploration.  Presentations by GPDN members and invited experts cover topics including inspirational keynotes, career self-assessments, resumes, informational interviews, and networking3,624 graduate students and postdocs from Canadian institutions attended in 2023.
