Welcome to the HUB Blueprint

A guide through graduate programs and the grad student journey

Why was the Blueprint created?

When the Grad Hub was being created, a common resource that students requested was a document that outlined the various steps, milestones, and process student complete throughout their graduate program. The Blueprint tries to do exactly that! This guide provides a high-level overview of your journey through a graduate program.

How to use the Blueprint

We start at Entering, where we cover student rights and responsibilities, advisor responsibilities, and USask grading.
Mapping guides you through how to plan your program and what to know to make sure you fulfill your program's requirements.

Once you get into the groove, the Management section will be helpful in keeping you on track and making sure you meet deadlines and reporting requirements.

And finally, once you get towards finishing your program, the Completing page will tell you everything about making sure you connvocate and how to participate in graduation ceremonies.

Use the Blueprint to help create your own Independent Development Plan that you can use to map and track your program progress. Students should discuss with their supervisor or advisor to verify your Independent Development Plan matches both, departmental expectations and requirements.
