The 2022 Competition will be launched in November 2021. Applications will not be accepted until the official launch.

Funded through the U of S International Blueprint for Action, Connecting with the World, this competitive fellowship has a mandate of bringing international postdoctoral fellows to the University of Saskatchewan.

The Fellowship may allocate up to two awards in the following 2022 Competition Signature Areas of Research:

  1. Agriculture: Food and Bioproducts for a Sustainable Future
  2. Energy & Mineral Resources: Technology and Public Policy for a Sustainable Environment
  3. Indigenous Peoples: Engagement and Scholarship
  4. One Health: Solutions at the Animal-Human-Environment Interface
  5. Synchrotron Science: Innovation in Health, Environment & Advanced Technologies
  6. Water Security: Stewardship of the World's Freshwater Resources

* The awards will granted in two different signature areas

Eligibility

  • The applicant must have completed a PhD no earlier than three years prior to the start date of the proposed fellowship.
  • The applicant must not be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • The applicant’s PhD must have been earned outside of Canada.
  • The applicant cannot have been a resident in Saskatoon during the past twenty-four months.
  • The applicant may only receive this fellowship once.
  • The applicant must have demonstrated strong achievement and early success in their chosen field of specialization.
