Banting Fellowship

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

The College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies would like to draw your attention to the 2019-20 Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF) competition. Launched by the Vanier-Banting Secretariat, this program offers funding for individuals with PhD, PhD-equivalent or health professional degree completion between September 15, 2016 and September 30, 2020 (inclusively) and is open to both Canadian and international researchers.

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program is designed to support world-class postdoctoral researchers who aspire to develop their leadership potential and position themselves for success as the research leaders of tomorrow.  The Banting PDF competition is highly competitive and includes a rigorous review and selection process.

While applicants currently affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan are eligible to apply for a Banting PDF with a supervisor who is also affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan, the Banting Secretariat strongly discourages applicants who seek to remain at their current institution from applying to the Banting program. Only the most exceptional candidates seeking to remain at the University of Saskatchewan should consider applying.
