2021-22 Governor General's Gold Medal

 

Scott J. Adams, MD, PhD College of Medicine Scott Adams has studied the genetics of wheat and chemistry of cancer, become an accomplished pianist and taught music to inner-city children. He’s won national awards, helped organize city events, and served on student government and university committees. Currently, a radiology resident doctor, Scott investigates whether a robotic ultrasound clinic is a feasible solution to improving access to medical imaging in Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous communities.

Tyler Morhart, PhD Department of Chemistry Tyler Morhart was born and raised in Saskatoon. He started his Bachelor's degree in 2010 and worked for two summers in the Burgess lab. When not in the lab, he could be found running or up late looking through his telescope. Tyler's doctoral project was on fabricating and characterising substrates for use in surface enhanced infrared spectroscopy (SEIRS).

 

The Office of the Governor-General annually awards Gold Academic Medals to students who achieve the highest academic standing at the graduate level.
