Who we are
Graduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan are unique. In an unassuming city in the middle of the prairies, we are naturally humble, our community is close-knit, and we still call hoodies bunnyhugs. We are also known for our collaborative, inter-disciplinary approaches to tackling global challenges.
USask's graduate student experiences are enhanced by working alongside internationally acclaimed faculty in diverse areas of study with access to world-class facilities.
30 Vanier Scholarships awarded since 2009

Graduate studies at USask were administered by a University Council Committee on Graduate Studies from 1922 to 1945. The College of Graduate Studies was established in 1946. In 2017 the College adopted its current name - the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies.
Rooted in the college's values, throughout our 75-year history is its commitment to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS) is home to over 4000 graduate students enrolled in over 180 graduate diplomas, course & thesis-based masters and doctoral degree programs and is home to over 200 postdoctoral fellows all of which contribute to a diverse and intensive research environment.
